We are currently fully open for in person learning...
We believe that our students learn best and are better emotionally supported if they are in the classroom with their peers, even if they are wearing masks and socially distanced. That is why we have worked hard to be fully open for in-person learning, for all of our students and faculty, 5 days a week.
Our ventilated classrooms are small in size (10 students or fewer); we have created learning pods based on age and language choice and those pods never mix; we have heightened cleaning protocols; we take advantage of our outdoor rooftop and Central Park just steps from our door.
If there is a spike in COVID-19 cases, we will follow our health protocols and move immediately to a robust distance learning program. We have designed a remote learning model that maintains our high standards while being mindful of screen time and social-emotional well being. It is a mix of live online classroom gatherings as well as pre-recorded lessons and one-to-one sessions between teachers and their students to provide extra support. We prefer not to implement distance learning, but if we have to, we are ready for it.
